Blog #28 Using Quotes in Writing

“To pay attention, this is our endless and proper work.”
― Mary Oliver

When will a quote help out a passage?

Whenever putting a long report together, an essay, a Power Point, or anything being shown to an audience, it is helpful to use a quote. Quotes capture the attention of the reader. They make the person listening interested.

What else are quotes good for?

Quotes may give authority on a matter. When writing a business document, quoting a professional in that particular business makes you seem more reliable. If the authority said it was true, then of course the audience should listen to you. They also add a certain level of creativity to your work.
